Seemingly endless sunshine, higher speed limits, massive skies, and a wonderful variation of nature; that’s Texas. A state so large that it takes 14 to 16 hours to travel border to border; 870 miles to be exact. Copy and paste Rhode Island 221 times to equate the landmass of this incredible state. If the needs are for exploration and a newfound sense of freedom, they will be met. Travel to Central Texas and find the high tech, and musical city of Austin.
The City Limits
Austin is the fastest-growing city in America. The region’s population is projected to swell 2.6 percent in 2019 compared to 2018. This is apparent during musical events like the Austin City Limits festival. Overall job growth is holding steady at 3.5 percent, so a slow down isn’t in the near future. North of the city, the Domain is Austin’s eye-catching business and pleasure hub for young entrepreneurs who yearn to leave behind the noise of cities such as Los Angeles and New York City; and perhaps flee from forest fires and harsh winters. Approximately 3.4 million square feet of office space is under construction or completed. This is a whopping 200 percent jump from 2010. Major companies like Amazon, Indeed, Facebook and Vrbo are nestling in, listening to their employees who desire to work and live in the Domain.
It’s all about the beauty of nature, and Austin has no shortage of places to wander. People won’t have to travel far or even drive, as well kept trails lead from the city to the beautiful forest known as the Greenbelt. With 809 acres of lush vegetation, limestone cliffs, and natural pools; it’s truly a sight you’ve got to see!
